Allison’s Story: Standing Stronger With MS
By Alex Hunt, Founder of Fleet Healthcare
Allison’s story is one of resilience and determination. Listening to her speak about how her strength and confidence have grown highlights just how powerful the right support can be when living with a progressive condition.
Allison lives with multiple sclerosis, and she is open about how much it now affects her walking.
“I’ve got MS. It’s affecting my walking a lot now.”
Living With Changes in Mobility
As MS progresses, everyday movements can become harder and less predictable. Walking, standing, and balance can all feel uncertain, and that uncertainty can slowly chip away at confidence.
For Allison, these changes made it clear that she needed the right kind of physiotherapy support.
Building Strength in New Ways
Allison works with Noellin, one of our physiotherapists. From the way Allison describes her sessions, it is clear that the focus has been on helping her find strength in ways that feel achievable and safe.
“She’s got me standing up in my chair.”
That may sound simple, but for someone whose walking has been significantly affected, it represents real progress.
“I’m feeling stronger.”
Pushing Beyond Expectations
What stood out to me most was how Allison described what she is now able to do.
“She’s got me doing things that I never thought I would.”
That sense of surprise and pride matters. It shows what can happen when care is tailored to the person, not just the condition.
Trust in the Care She Receives
When Allison was asked whether she would recommend Fleet Healthcare, her response was immediate and clear.
“Oh, totally. Yes. Best physio I’ve had.”
That level of trust is earned through consistency, understanding, and care that adapts as needs change.
Why This Story Matters
Allison’s story is not about curing MS. It is about finding strength, confidence, and possibility despite it.
It is about having physiotherapy that meets her where she is and supports her to keep moving in ways that feel meaningful.
This is what mobile physiotherapy can offer.
Support that adapts as conditions change.
Movement that feels possible again.
For Allison, that support has made a powerful difference.
