Patricia’s Story: Feeling Stronger at 86
By Alex Hunt, Founder of Fleet Healthcare
I didn’t meet Patricia in person, but after watching her video and speaking with our team, her story stayed with me. It is a simple story, but a meaningful one. The kind that shows how the right support, delivered consistently, can help people feel stronger and more confident as they age.
Patricia is 86 years old. She speaks about her experience and how things have changed since starting with Fleet Healthcare.
“I’m now having exercises with Fleet.”
Noticing Real Progress
When Patricia was asked whether she felt she had made progress, her answer was immediate.
“I do. I feel a lot stronger.”
At 86, feeling stronger often means feeling steadier and more capable in everyday life. Those changes matter.
“So, I’m very happy with it.”
Working With Care and Precision
Patricia works with Rafli, one of our exercise physiologists. From the way she describes her sessions, it is clear that the care is thoughtful and well structured.
“Oh, very good. Very precise, very proper.”
Those words speak to the importance of doing the right exercises in the right way, especially when working with older adults.
Patricia also makes a point to mention the person delivering the care.
“And he’s very nice.”
More Than Just the Exercises
Good care is about more than movements and routines. It is about feeling comfortable with the person guiding you and trusting their approach.
When clients feel supported and respected, they are more likely to stay engaged and feel confident in their progress.
That is what home based exercise physiology can offer.
Why This Story Matters
Patricia’s story is about consistency, precision, and human connection.
This is what mobile care makes possible.
Progress that feels achievable.
Care that fits into everyday life.
And sometimes, that is exactly what people need at this stage of life.
