“You’ve got an amazing admin team who are always there to help. They sort the referrals, they help with creating service agreements, liaising with support coordinators and case managers. Then you’re able to just provide the actual OT aspect of things… Billing is done for me.”

She adds that the way Fleet runs its processes makes a real difference.

“It’s quite efficient in the way that they run their processes, and I found that really helpful.”

When the admin is taken care of, clinicians get to spend their time and energy where it counts — with their clients.

Sophie also values the variety of clients Fleet works with, and the ability to focus on the areas she’s most drawn to.

“The other great thing about Fleet Healthcare is the range of clients we see, and really being able to hone in on the sort of area and clientele you want to work with is really fantastic. I really enjoy doing daily living skills and building on clients’ independence.”

Watching Bailey Grow

One client’s progress has stayed with Sophie in particular — a young man named Bailey.

“We’ve seen so much progress in the time we’ve been working together, and that’s been really rewarding. He’s now at a stage where he’s able to do personal care independently. We’ve been working on shoelace tying, we’re getting into simple meal prep, routine building, and being able to take responsibility for his own belongings. Seeing how much independence he’s grown is really special.”
